If you add rel="nofollow" to a certain hyperlink no pagerank juice will be passed on to that site.

Be careful adding no follow. You have to exclude some site's and URL's from it. eg. Katz and other DDL site's will ban you for having no follow so you have to exclude them. It sorta defeats the purpose of Link Exchanges as well as it won't help the Page Rank of the site your doing a Link Exchange with. Also TubeNow Link Checker won't work as it doesn't recognized no follow.
If you add it keep an eye on the excluded links. Otherwise don't use it.

Why would TubeNow Link Checker need to recognize "no follow"? TN LC is not an indexing bot, it checks links.

It's also not an automated bot, it visit pages based on request (ie: when a user clicks on a link to be checked).

Sorry. My bad. I was on a site a few days ago (not mine) that installed a no follow mod and TubeNow stopped working. Though it was related but I rechecked and it's working again now. Sorry.
