Doubt about the Rep power

Just out of curiosity I'd like to know how does this Rep power thingy work?

Hardly anybody "Likes" my post but still my Rep power is 4 and
here http://i.imgur.com/r1ryS.png so many "Likes" yet his rep power is 2 but he has 2 green boxes

Not like I want more green boxes but I'd just like to know about this Rep power.

its because you registered earlier.. 1 year = 1 rep power
and the likes you have.. 100 likes = 1 rep ..

u registered in 2009 and also back then there was no likes system
do u see the + button thats for giving rep another reason might be your post count

Rep Power is based on posts. 500 posts = 1 rep power

I joined only on 2011 and my rep power is 6.
I think it depends on how many different member's give you reputation and likes.
And yes, there might be other factors aswell.

It can do it just depends on how the system is configured.

The reputation system for vBulletin is rather complex in how many options it has in the AdminCP. All sorts of factors can contribute to a persons reputation (everything that has been mentioned so far).

@ OP - I can why you are confused but don't let it bother you just keep posting great topics/replies and your reputation will increase soon enough

And on a note I am not really interested in increasing my rep power. I wont be active after my vacation as I havent been from the past 1-1.5 years
