I acutally decided to go with Host gator for my temporary BS. I got the VPS for a penny using a coupon actually.

I wont be hosting my official site there as i need offshore for that but i am sure you'll see me here asking a bunch of questions and I hope by the end of the month to have a better understanding of unmanaged VPS and looking at VPS offers here
