In this case, obviously not. I am saying it you receive a mail from an actual copyright owner, it's always wise to remove the content before they contact your hosting provider which MIGHT lead to complications.
Super busy. I have to forward this email to 20 people in 5 minutes or else a ghost will visit me tonight and my room is a mess

see for the DMCA notices there are only two routes, once is through the CONTACT US or DMCA report page (if you have made on your site) , they send you the email directly to remove the content.
Second is they send the report to the ISP for your server's ip (your hosting provider in this case) so if you are hosted onshore they may block your hosting account but if you are offshore then they will forward the email to you and you can just remove the content within 24 hours. Many offshore providers dont even care for those notices.
Nobody will register on your site to send you notice via PM.
