Question Debian 5 vs CentOS 5.3

Simple question. I'm getting a VPS and I need to choose between these 2. I only have experience with Debian 5 and I know for a fact that it's a very stable and reliable distro. On the other hand I pretty much know nothing about CentOS. So, I need to know which one to pick for a small VPS.

Which one do you think is the better choice?
Also please provide valid arguments, not "this/that FTW!", thanks .

Personally I always go with CentOS, got used to it + it's compatible with basically every panel out there.

When I first started using VPS's I went with the familiar Ubuntu distro on it, realized how "HEAVY"/ resource consuming Ubuntu was and decided to try out Cent OS, CentOS very stable and reliabe I fell in love with Centos hostinabox, the great thing about CentOS is theirs all sorts of support online related to/with centos and is pretty moderate with its consumption of resources, O BTW kloxo/lxadmin is a favorite of mine
