Well damn this is a pretty bad situation indeed. If he really quit without notice then I feel bad and stupid for all the times I recommended HB to people . Not only will he have lost his company but also screwed over many sites and people.

Just got word back from Paypal.

Since I paid over 45 days ago (48 days when I filled the complaint) they can't get the money back automated. The only thing to do is wait for others to fill a claim against them and after that Paypal can open an internal investigation against HostBeyond and get the money back.

From the mail I got from Paypal:



JJJ, please give a suggestion on how to get this to my bank. I paid by Paypal but I used my cc to do it, so basically the money are from my bank account.

He advertised as a company. He did everything like a company. There was no "Oh well you should have known", because quite frankly there wasn't. This is a huge pile of horseshit and this is not going to just be forgotten.
