hello I need someone to setup a public website for me on "windows server 2008"
I don't mean to make the website for me just setup the server so people can see it

I have NO experience with this end of things at all
I want to just give you my login and pass
then when your done I want to have a folder I can just drop my HTML's in and have it ready for me to start buying traffic

I don't actually have the server yet
the one im looking at say they can't help me with this end
so I want to get all my ducks in a row before I spend any $

is there any specific reason for choosing Windows server ?

If its plain html files why don't you buy linux server ?

same price and I can tinker with things on server
I have a good understanding of windows but know diddly about linux

but im open to linux if you think it would be better

Who told you price for windows hosting is same ? Windows License is not a free product.

If all you got is just plain html files ( i.e, no php scripts, no asp, no database etc) just install IIS 7 on your Windows and create a vhost on it.

Just search on google, you can find few tutorials about IIS 7

but I don't care about setup costs it's on going costs im interested in

id rather just pay someone to do it and know it's done right

cheaper and no work involved
