Default I need help with server, high load

Hello if some of the experienced webmasters can help me out. I have a problem with high load on my VPS server:

    Code:
     http://gyazo.com/a1cc566efbba6726058c65ac3c1618b5
what steps can i take to fix this, i am guessing there is some problem with my database.

Also i am keep getting this e-mail from cpanel service monitor:

nginx failed @ Wed Jun 20 16:11:26 2012. A restart was attempted automagically.

    Service Check Method: [check command]

    Number of Restart Attempts: 157
    Maybe this will also help:

    Code:

    Thanks for help.

Graphs are sometimes not useful as they aren't usually accurate. The "top" command you posted helps more.

I would install iftop and make sure you are getting DOS attacked via HTTPD.

What type of software are you running on top of Apache/Nginx?

    Hi,

What i have seen in the second image is your every httpd request use 33 present connection along with 22.0%cpu and 1.1 ram that is very huge.

Your httpd not optimized running. you need some tuning in your httpd config. as bharat says always use FastCGI. it helps reduce load.

Mysql and other service seems fine.

    Hello,

It might be problem due to tailwatchd.

First try to update cpanel if not resolved then follow

    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkperlmodules --full
    /usr/local/cpanel/libexec/tailwatchd --restart
    /scripts/cleanmd5
    /etc/init.d/cpanel restart

    Afetr this try

    /scripts/restartsrv chkservd
    /scripts/upcp --force
