@cvrle77 You think the record label does it all? Most of their concerts are run by their manager. This is why most of their profit isn't completely raped. TV advertisements may vary, but if they wish they can produce their own. I see them being sponsored by some sort of commercial like mountain dew more than a CD sale. iTunes takes care a lot of sales now, likewise Amazon too. Number 3, their manager and TV hosts/Radio shows always invite them through their manager.

The one thing big labels do, do is start you off good. If you don't got the money they supply it, so you can add your CDs to real stores and have the label's name backing you. As you can see most popular artists have their own labels to cut out the greedy fools.

Seems like this project is also backed by Steve Wozniak - I'll certainly be watching out for this.
