eih.bz pornDDL.me sexytattoochicks.tumblr.comWhat OS do you use? And why?
Dear webmasters,
I was thinking and thinking and I have found an idea to protect my pc from viruses, mallware, etc.. LINUX!
I heard Linux is very good, they are no viruses for Linux etc..
+ Linux is opensource..
Also, I'll be more protected against the hackers and being keylogged.; Is it true? Am I thinking correctly?
And if I go for linux, what type should I use? Ubuntu,Fedora,OpenSuse,..?
Also, I would like to know what OS do you use and why?
How do you protect your pc from being hacked/keylogged/infected with viruses etc?

I currently run OSX as my main OS but run Ubuntu and OpenSUSE 11 virtualy. I would recomment going for this as its a great opensource piece of software.
I use OSX as its usefull in my line of work and i run the two virtual machines as i just love them, easy to use and sexy
Yes you are thinking correctly, using a linux based OP eliminates the viruses but not hacking or keylogging, it just makes it alot more difficult. Just think, anything that has the internet running on it can be hacked or keylogged, even mobile phones.
Having said that, one of the features of the two linux based op's is that you can also install some (and i say some because it is just some) windows applications using a simple app called Wine. Now i dont know if you would be able to get viruses this way, as i never try it i always stay linux all the way.
Hope this helped.

Windows Vista. Yes, I like it, just don't flame me for it.
Will upgrade to Win7 sooner or later.Life asked Death: "Why do people love me, but hate you?"
Death responded: "Because you're a beautiful lie and I'm the painful truth."

Dual boot Win XP SP3 Pro and linux.
XP for ease of use and games. Linux (this is either Ubuntu or OpenSUSE) for webmastering (less chance of getting phished - more secure) and when I need to do stuff that I can't do with XP.
