Announcement On Stats

Hi Guys - I think I finally figured out why some people have been thinking their stats are wrong... read on ...

I've had so many pm's - so many screen caps lol - usually it's of a 251mb file earning less than the owner thinks it should, and until now I've been at a loss to explain it. Our coder has taken the code apart and re-assembled it carefully so many times now it's crazy, yet the reports persist. Today I was typing up yet another report in the hopes of getting him to try again when the penny suddenly dropped ! I can't believe I didn't think of this before - it's so obvious once you know that frankly I'm embarrassed to admit I missed it for so long.
Ok - here it is ....
This is just a misunderstanding of how the earnings table works .... people have been assuming that 251Mb is tier 3 but that's not the case - in fact it's actually the ceiling for the over 101mb to 251mb tier - 252mb would be in the next tier up (over 251 to 501).
The table works like this ... 10Mb to 101Mb / more than 101Mb to 251mb / more than 251Mb to 501Mb and so on. File sizes are counted in whole megabytes.

I sincerely hope this helps everyone. I will get some clarification added to the relevant sharpfile pages as soon as i can

It's because they are on the server that's switched off because they are replacing the hardware (drives) - don't worry - it will be available again soon and you can delete it then if needed

Nah, I'm just used to the idea of 11-100, 101-250, 251-500 etc.

I don't know. It just feels... natural.
