We do it as it's in our religion but we eat it after.
It's same as eating any beef/meat, you shot the animal and then eat.
We cut the animal and then we eat.

Animals kill to eat, or defend themselves, or their young, they don't torture for satisfaction.
So, it's not even comparable.
