The laws charged upon you depends on the Server Locations.
I mean, if you live in Antartica and you have a Netherland Server, then the laws charged upon you would be of NL.

It does'nt matter where you live (unless its a serious matter)
All matters is the Server Location.

NL Laws are not that strict and If I'm correct then, they do not suppot Anti-Piracy Matters.
So it is safe and considered as Offshore

    yeh that true blaze,
in Netherlands they don't have any anti-piracy policy that's why many webmaster choose it for warez hosting

That has absolutely no relevance to data-centres in the NL being allowed to host websites which link to copyrighted files.

Anyone comparing torrent trackers to warez linking sites are complete idiots, there is no comparison. For the time being the NL is safe to host warez linking sites, give it 1-2 years and it may not be, but for the time being it is.

The only place I can think of that is safer than the NL right now is China and Hong Kong, not being because of the lack of suitable laws, but because of the lack of enforcing them, unlike the NL this is unlikely to change; as is the ridiculous prices you would have to pay to host their.

As To0 says, its on a case by case basis how and where you should consider hosting your site, there isn't one answer for every site.

I even has some confusion regarding this,
i am from india and i was reported by my companion who owned a warez site, that even though the site was hosted in netherlands, but somehow his site was declared illegal, police ran in, and he was fined whit near about 25 lakhs.. Somedays back there was such report in the incident too..
So its not at all legal, and there is always a chance that you will be caught..

That is impossible because the so called illegal stuff is not in your possession it is in Netherlands and they can not fine you atleast that is how it is in USA.
