You can just use http://ifttt.com or something similar and have it send you emails or SMS messages when something your subscribed to on KWWH or even a whole forum etc has a new post by using KWWH's RSS Feeds. You don't have to rely on KWWH's default email notification system.

The main issue is newly registered members needing to verify there accounts, the main problem should be fixed not a workaround made.

I have had the problem before on a site and even posted the solution.

Sorry I was agreeing with you about removing the option to subscribe to forums and providing an option or workaround to the existing members who wanted to retain that feature.
