Hi guys, I'm planning to build my first ecommerce website. I need some advices to start with on

    • what CMS/Ecommerce System should I use? - I thinking off zencart/oscommerce
    • I have got enough knowledge on HTML/CSS and enough to understand PHP/SQL codes
    • How do much budget should I prepare?
    • recommended webhost for ecommerce sites?
    • Got some few first steps or tips to start with?
    • I may do prefer opensource system to have a plugin that can be downloaded around.

You should try to use Magento / OSCommerce. The budget depends upon the type of ecommerce website you want to begin with. If you have got $100, you should be able to kick-start your website. Try to choose a shared host for a start, probably the one closest to your location, that offers easy setup and has a friendly support.

Hi Traxport121, thanks for the response.. While I'm checking out the Magento and Oscommerce. I observe magento is more cool and looks awesome though it requires good budget to have a good support and features. Does anyone suggest a wordpress/joomla ecommerce plugin? does is it work well and good?
