A VPS from VPS6 would be better since you will effectively have somewhat of a dedicated resource allocation rather than sharing a whole server with a few thousand other websites. Since your website is new and if your not a tech savvy person then i'd look at the options for shared hosting, though rather than a VPS.
It's amazing, being in a community can cause hate. Competitors or not - DDOS isn't cool :)

Shared hosting will support more visitors and easily outperform a weak 128MB VPS in most cases.

I wouldn't recommend you using anything less than 512MB RAM for hosting a website. Cheap VPS are normally very oversold so you don't get all the resources in most cases(depends on your node neighbors).
