My test that I've just done now:

Max Download File Size: 250 MB

It's reasonable for an un-registered free user.
registered free users get a speed increase and a significant increase in their max download size.

Incorrect, unregistered users can download up to 250mb. Registered (free) users can download files up to 5GB.
