I'm not being a jackass here, you seem like a cool guy, but I could make chevereto script in a day, with the user system/admin panel etc. OOP, framework.

I wonder what you could do in a week.

You do realize cheverto is one of the most basic paid for scripts? It's overly charged, anyone with PHP knowledge can recreate it in a day.

I actually have to agree with Rodney, my mate knows php and he always says it's easy to modify Cheverto..
He is just toooo lazy to do all that fancy stuff other scripts have.

Well, if he's dissing other people's work I have the right to do the same.

I'm not dissing other people's work I'm just saying that just that particular issue is at least debatable. So far I've just talk with the facts, I didn't start to say things like "i can code your work in one day" which in my point of view is pretty annoying because the work behind a software or script is not just the code. I don't like to talk about other people work but if I saw something totally weird like the statement that I've commented I think should share my point of view because I've created one of the software being quoted.

I know that many people can code a lot of things in one day or even less, like their own twitter and their own blog engine... But why that doesn't happen?. Code isn't all. Code is important but you have other things to deal everyday like Tech Support to your clients in every way, I even take care of some problems directly on their servers and pretty much the same day that they ask. Do you get the same in other scripts like XenForo (I feel that is overpriced)? I'm a XenForo customer and I can tell you that I feel that I've payed more for what I got, I won't enter in details because that is totally off-topic.

To summarize, if you think that a project like this is just make the code in one day and start to sell... good luck. If I've been able to inspire competitors, be the top seller and all that with a simple script (in your own words), well... It seems to me that you are missing the key factors IMHO.

Don't bother guys, Rodolfo is actually the owner of Chevereto. He's just defending its stuff. The truth is that Chevereto is very overrated. It's just that it's one of the first script that have been made out there. But there's much better now.
