To administrators of Windows Server out there, I would like to know what restrictions and group policies you set for your (standard) users. Can somebody help me

restrict users from:

  • Installing and uninstalling programs
  • Accessing gpedit.msc, cmd.exe, registry, and any critical programs
  • Using restart and shutdown
  • Accessing windows and program files folder without being denied access to programs installed.
  • Change any security setting
  • All other actions that will affect other users

but allow them to:

  • Run and close programs
  • Log on and log off
  • Create their own folders or files in their own partition (ive done this)
  • Do actions that will not alter any computer settings that will affect other users
