It would be nice if it was all object driven and perfect but at the end of the day none of the ddl scripts out are like this, a huge amount of effort must of been put into this but yeah it can still do with improvements..

For example i started making the html on my v1 valid, and gave up in the end as it was such a huge job, this has been done in v2. If the code was a bit more tidy and it was a little faster/more efficient i would be much happier, but until something else comes along this is by far the best script if you want loads of features.

One good thing i found is if you are not a noob as people keep claiming this script is for you could potentially do something very special with it... i have had some pretty good results so far using it unlike any other script i have tried.

Thanks DEViANCE, well said, it's true. Of course, v2.0 is not the final product either -- it was an overhaul.

The built-in features is what the script is all about -- hence we said, "powerful."

The HTML validation, by the way, was really focused on the main page -- you will find that some of the other pages may not fully validate -- this will likely be the output of the v2.1 revision.

You guys really are weird sometimes. You'll give praises for people with much shitter work, and when a script like this gets released which has obviously a ton of work put into it, people want to bash it any way they can.

In terms of features and ease of use, this is still the best script out there. For people that want to take somebody elses script like WCDDL or whatever and modify the hell out of it so it's no longer even original code, then go right ahead.

This community needs to stop bashing people so much and apperciate more people's work.

In anycase good release and look forward to others!

The features are great, but why do you want something with all this that muches up all your resources when you only have ~10 visits /day?
Personally, DDLCMS features are not for the end user, its for the flashy gizmo's and link exchange ease for other webmasters..
Dont get me wrong i couldnt code it, i just dont see that need or want from anyone..

Good job, work on XHTML valid for all pages and CSS valid, releasing a script where the base code of it isnt 100% valid seems sloppy.

    100% agreed!

Why on earth would anyone only have ten visits a day? My site has only used 1.3gb of bw in over a month and 135043 hits. Not sure what the script is like with other resources as im on shared hosting but yeah....

Maybe your putting to much effort into coding and not enough effort into the sites seo/advertising then.

Nah seriously a ddl site has got to be one of the easiest type of sites to get busy..?

So you're saying if you release a website that is, BUY A DOMAIN, direct it yo your server, install DDLCMS, set-up the settings, get the skin up (in the first day) and expect to get more then 10 visits?

Well dood you obv dont understand the scene,

The fact the this HAS been promoted to users outside the warez scene means that there are lots of ddl sites that are just in it for the money.. meaning we get too many ddl sites and it damages the system lol

I give up on the issue tbf....
