Need help with fatal error

I recently moved to a VPS hosts and as far as I know, I havent changed anything on IPB apart from disabling the skin that I had and using the default skin. Now whenever I go to Manage Forums, I get this:

Fatal error: Class 'ad_forums' not found in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/forum/sources/acp_loaders/acp_content.php on line 89

I thought it was Group Name Indicator so I uninstall it and removed all the changes made for it but still no change. I am using IPB 2.3.6 by the way. Can anyone tell me how to fix this please?

if you have back up of your files, upload acp_content.php again. after upload if it does not work check on line 89 of acp_content.php you will understand what is the problem. also ipb has error log folder, u can check that folder too to know the problem.

I uploaded acp_content.php again but no change. No error log that I could find and line 89 is:

$runmeagain           = new $constructor;

Which means nothing to me

Your error is probably caused by a mod you installed and when you moved to another server and you uploaded your backup you must reinstall all your mods again. Just check out your mods that you have installed.

All the mods are installed? So do I need to uninstall them and then reinstall it back again?

not require to uninstall any mod. download a fresh ipb script and upload. remember u put the the original config.php file. and then install mod that you want.

another thing you can try is go to : components tab / universal mod installer / manage mod installations and then on each mod displayed there , click on the grey dropdown button and choose "reinstall" . Sometimes that works.

I've tried uninstalling all of them and reinstalling them. I've tried just re-installing. Still the same.

are you sure that you uploaded all the correct files into the correct folders from all your mods? If so , just do it like I described before (do not uninstall anything ). And when done, clear the cache.

Or another thing you can try is : Go to : admin tab / components / manage components and then you will see all your components that you have installed. And you will see next each one a red cross or a green mark. Just toggle them back and forth for all of them. That could work too.
And if not, I am out of clues and I suggest you contact ipb for more help.

I tried everything you suggested WarezFreaks but still the same.
Is there a way I can install a fresh IPB without losing the database, ie posts and members?
