i want to improve my vip section besically. Tell today i havent seen any vip fourm so i dont know how it looks like and how vip sections works.

just wondering how can i make vip section for member to download fast with out using rapidshare ect.
can you tell me how FTP downloads work ?

U need a server ( dedi servers will be better and 1 GB for sure if u think u can get good number of members ) and some more instruction and that's it

Get a 100mbit unmetered dedicated ( ~$150 for a stable one) dump a shitload of warez on it, and give vips special access.

if u want it to be good for long term , 100 mb won't do the job ( it gives like 11 mb upload / sec ) donno how big ur site will go , but it depends , 1 gb server migh do the job , maybe u will need 2 or more , but 100 mb isn't enough at all

Err. If you have 100 vips, let's say they ALL download 2 hours a day. Means 200 hours a day downloading. 10mbit each is 20 hours a day downloading, which is fine (as a day has 24 hours). 100mbit is more than enough for vips dude. at least for the coming months.

Were did you pull out $150? you can get a good 100mbit box with maybe 300gb of space and 1gb ram at easy ?40-60, 1gbit ports with a few TB of space is ?60-100.

And if you want to run a ftp server i recommend using debian with glftpd as your ftp server, you should FXP releases there or upload yourserver, make sure each user gets a username and password with 1ip per account to protect leechers who are not VIP, also use SSL.
