t3od0r Reviewed by t3od0r on . "Wicked" trademark I recently bought wicked-porn.com and wicked-adult-images.com, now i received a letter from LipsitzGreenScimeCambria that i use the "Wicked Pictures" trademark. (wicked.com and wickedpictures.com) and now they want to "discontinue operation of wicked-porn.com and wicked-adult-images.com" because i use the "Wicked" name in my domains :(. Should i close them? P.S: they didn't said nothing about wicked-warez.com because is not adult related. Rating: 5

The most they can do is ask the domain registrar to disable the domain. I would offer to sell them the domain, if they decline your offer just tell them to fuck themselves.
If you are worried I will let you transfer it to my Enom reseller account, I will happily tell them to fuck themselves if they attempt to contact me.

Well I know personally I owned a domain that was apparently trade marked, I won't go into detail about what the trademark was or who owned it but just know it was a big American company.

1 of the 2 words in my domain name consisted of their trademarked word, which i still think is a crock since its in the dictionary. AFTER I had already registered my domain name, months later they apparently made a trademarked both words of my domain name with a space in between them, so not exactly the same thing, my site was two words but was used as one everywhere on the website.

My domain was parked while I was to busy with other things to run the site, I had full intentions of resuming the site at one point. They argued that I used the domain in bad faith to promote their competitors since the parked page had ads (out of my control as it was parked through a company).

Long story short, I had a counter point for everything they said, but I still got boned by the big american corporation! The National Arbitration Forum forced my registrar into transfering to the big corporation where it sat parked for months!

Well, some time ago I read a similar story, but from the other's party point of view (one of those bigger porn companies). Trademark owner assumed it'd be cheaper and easier to buy the domain and splashed $5k for it. So that's pretty much the amount of money I'd try to get from these guys.

I highly doubt your emails will get anywhere, you probably will have to deal with the law firm directly.

Edit: Still seems like more of a scare letter.
