Where's profit for them? They need to cover huge bandwidth costs...

The upload to multiupload.com, that's what they make their money with. Also, those who do not upload to their own accounts, probably will upload to multiupload's accounts. And then of course the ads.

Also the batch manager doesn't support uploading to your own account.

The free multi upload link doesn't appear always ..
