Search By Sight With Google Goggles

The visual search concept (which Google also calls "computer vision" and "search by sight") is simple: Use a mobile phone with a camera to identify objects and match them to search results or online databases, such as maps or e-commerce sites.

Practically speaking, this means you can take a picture of a book or a barcode, and be immediately taken to a list of search results, including its Amazon product page. Or, if you're visiting another city, viewing a distinctive landmark through your phone's screen can not only reveal its name but also its history, via links to Wikipedia or a local tourism website.

The Goggles feature works by comparing an uploaded image to a database of billions Google has collected and analyzed.

Google Goggles currently is available as an application for phones running Google's Android operating system, but Google is working to release other versions, too.

thats pretty cool. Google has expanded into just about everything

Google is taking over. With their "Google approved businesses" and their advances in their Google Maps/Earth technology... augmented reality is going to explode. They are really "wiring" people with all this technology and changing consumer computing with Android, in my opinion.

I've used Google Goggles with some pretty out of ordinary things... it picked them right up.

That pretty cool, i was wondering to know if it will be good idea to buy a domain name goggles that will get some benecfit of it.
