Default Which is more Secured: Blog or Forum?

    Heya guys,

I was talking to one of my friends for adding a forum to his blog. But he says that Blog(Wordpress) is more secured than any Forum(IPB or vB) .

I said him that why cant blogs get hacked? A forum can get hacked as well as blogs.

So the ultimate thing, i.e, my question is what do you guys think?

    Do vote and also reply.

    Pure Awesomeness!
His friend is me, One dude hacked one of my friends contacts and tried to make me add a forum and I actually was going to. And after one day another dude on KWWH shootbox said it was me trying to get u to add a forum so i can own it easily, Means he couldn't do shit to my WP blog. I don't know anything about forums and how to secure it and I'm kinda hesitated to add one. So I want to know which one is more secured ? Wordpress, IPB3, phpbb3 or Vb ?

    Thanks.

Wordpress has had and still does have open holes that are discovered all the time.

For the owning a forum, he most probaby knew your password or something then uploading a shell via ajax options in vb to get access to your serve.r

Forums are secure, but only secure as the admin you goto keep them up-to-date and dont install any un-trusted plugins, and some good security on your server
It's amazing, being in a community can cause hate. Competitors or not - DDOS isn't cool :)

Make sure you have strong passwords and never use the same one for other things.

I say both have the same chances of being hacked. Of course that's with the assumption that both are up to date and that there are no publicly available exploits.

Almost every noob thinks that Joomla is best CMS ever made. But It's most retarded with 1k vuln spots + 90% mods for Joomla are vuln on SQLi/RFI ...

WordPress is vuln too. After all It's all about the server, let's say this situation.

Victim has installed WordPress. He was using some outdated version, so the "Hacker" attacked his site and uploaded PHP shell. But after he uploaded, he could only browse. He couldn't edit files, or CHMOD files. Or even upload files. So that shell he has can't do shit. Because he only can look files ...

If the victim had NO disabled php functions and craps like that "Hacker" could edit his files, and deface his blog ...

    Doing things differently.
It's mostly about what luck you have at the end of the day.

Some forums are VERY secure IPB/vBulletin/PHPBB..... But install a weak mod by mistake and to the un trained eye, you wouldn't have any clue if it's a vun or not.

It's like when i had my Legit vBulletin licence, every mod i downloaded from there, if it was found to have a vun, anyone who downloaded it and marked it as installed it would auto email everyone telling them it's basically fucked and is going to be mixed so either remove or disable it.
    $project->uploading($surprise);
//Fatal error: found object, can't execute, no earn = must kill self..
