from what i hear orcle has no intention of keeping mySQL, they plan to resell it once they aquire sun microsystems, but these are rumors and who knows wat sun plans to do. Either way i do not believe this will affect mySQL, as its open source, they wont start selling it since they sell oracle, plus oracle is tageted towards business not indivual websites like mySQL is.
