I wanted to run my site on pc so that first i can upgrade it and if it works then i will do it in the main site. so i installed apache mysql and php, now i have the backup of the site, so i took the public_html and copied the files of public_html and posted it in htdocs, also i pasted the database in the database folder created by mysql, now here is the prob
first showed db error since i forgot to edit config.php
now wat should i edit in config.php, should i rename the db name from default forum to my dbname and also the user id root , so should i change to the user name i gave in the cpanel ?

google.co.ukIf I understand your problem right, you are wanting to change the DB name etc, in your config.php?
If so, you scroll down until you see Database name, change that value to whatever you created in phpmyadmim, then scroll down a bit further, and you will see Database user and Database password, change their values to what you used in phpmyadmin too.
If this isn't what you were after, I am sorry, I didn't quite understand what you meant mate.

An easyer way would be to try it on a test folder on your current site create a new folder and create a copy of the back up import the database then change the details in the config folder.

GotMovies.netunless you have professional background i wouldn't. your opening your computer to hackers and PCs (personal computers.. duh) aren't made to run sites.. especially warez ones casue your ISP will be on your ass. also your hardware spec isnt meant for running sites either.
