awfuck.itAre there any good boards for linux software?
I use Ubuntu and now when I go to Katz...it's almost useless for me to download apps because most of them are for Windows and sometimes it's a bitch to use in wine, or it won't work. Some are good and easy to use with it. But I need a forum that's all linux or has a section with linux apps.
Any board is fine. I'll sign up on them all and check it out. If you have a linux section, let me know. I'll look into it.
But PLEASE...have AT LEAST 500+ titles for the linux section so it's actually SOMEWHAT or VERY useful to me.
If there are less than 500+ titles in your linux section or linux sharing board...I will just close the site and visit it in a month or so to see if there's that 500+.
Please...I want shit to download for my computer like photoshop and other apps.DXS Reviewed by DXS on . Are there any good boards for linux software? almost all linux apps are free and are found in the Synatic Software Manager (or Ubuntu Software Manager if it's 9.10)
for the photoshop, i suggest you to install virtualbox and install XP in it then install ur photoshop
you'll get too many error when trying to install photoshop with wine

iGotMusic.org NitroRoms.com GamersFire.comAlmost every single app you need for windows can be found in linux.
For example http://www.gimp.org/ is prob the best photoshop alternative, it is rather powerful (although confusing to start working with it if you never worked with it before). Most people generally do not need any more features that photoshop offers
If you use Ubuntu, all you need to do is search in Synaptic to download what you want.
Alternatively you can also check the getdeb community repositories here: http://www.getdeb.net/updates/ubuntu/9.10/
If you have to absolutely have a certain windows application what doesn't get along with wine. Follow these steps:
1. Get VirtualBox by Sun here: http://www.virtualbox.org/
2. Download a slipstreamed Windows XP (or Win7) ISO from whever
3. Mount the ISO into virtualbox, and your running windows within linux, you use both at the same time as you see fit.

iGotMusic.org NitroRoms.com GamersFire.comSorry wrong wording, I meant alternative.
@DXS: if your not going to run windows a whole bunch of times, I suggest installing XP because it will require less minimum specs so your system won't bog down. You can allocate as much ram, hd, etc that you want in VirtualBox for the operating system.
