Anyone here part of the Android Community?
I'm currently an owner of a Motorola Droid on Verizon's network.
Currently the most recent one is Android 2.1 running on the Google Nexus One (manufactured by HTC, and service provided by T-Mobile, soon Verizon in the Spring)
This beast is running a 1GHz processor
Any android fans out there?
PS: KWWH should configure User Agents so mobile devices go to the lo-fi view automatically, will be so useful o.oGolden Falcon Reviewed by Golden Falcon on . BTfreak.com Adult-BB.orgI am, I have a T-Mobile G1(HTC Dream).
I love android, but the actual hardware of my phone sucks and is slow.

Doesn't that run like Android 1.5?
OT: ATM I think Android is the "future" but it needs more polishing and of course good enough hardware to run it. Until it's polished and more phones like the N1 come out I'm staying faithful to my iPhone
btw Verizon sucks

I think Dream won't be updated to 2.x because of it's limitations, only Hero (aka G2) and Moment will :/
Android already is a competitor.
I was actually referring to this - what I meant was hold your breath with statements like this because you can't possibly know what OS 4 will bring to the table and what will the 4th gen iPhone look like/be capable of, i.e you might not even switch.

Xenu.ws WarezLinkers.com SerialSurf.com CracksDirect.comAndroid *will* outperform the iPhone OS a few versions from now.
Its still early stages really, but it'll eventually be much better.
When that day comes and there are a large selection of android apps, i'll probably switch to an android phone from my iphone.
Just noticed what .mac said, he has the right idea.Projects:

You can't possibly know that because you're comparing old to new. You have no idea what Apple might come out with
We've yet to see what will OS 4 (or even 3.2) bring to the table.

Xenu.ws WarezLinkers.com SerialSurf.com CracksDirect.comYeah I agree really.
What I mean to say is, android will be THE competitor.
It'll be like the current Mac vs. Windows "debate".
I'll stick with my iphone until android has more apps, more features and better devices.Projects:
