I think Dream won't be updated to 2.x because of it's limitations, only Hero (aka G2) and Moment will :/

People are attempting to hack together 2.0 ROM's for the G1 but failing miserably.
After a while I might get the Nexus One if the reviews and everything are good.

Nexus One is a great phone, too bad that Android 2.1 is so buggy.

The app store has to change dramatically though.

Accepting apps like Google Voice, Firefox Mobile, etc..

Yeah I agree really.

What I mean to say is, android will be THE competitor.
It'll be like the current Mac vs. Windows "debate".

I'll stick with my iphone until android has more apps, more features and better devices.

I love how you said Mac first.

Since I'm an apple fanboy all also stick with the iPhone + the homebrew is pretty cool for it.

I don't have one but I would pick an Android phone over the iPhone any day of the year. Even sexier is, IMO, the Linux based Nokia N900. It runs a lot of existing Linux desktop software:



Ubuntu/Linux users will surely know the app it's running there.

I use the Google/HTC G1.
Great software, hardware could use improving.

I dislike the Nexus One (the unofficial successor to the G1) as it lacks a physical keyboard; the G1 screen keyboard is awful.

I think the G1 will have a market to continue if there's no "G2".

Who cares about stores though when the thing is running Linux? Everything you want is out there already so you wouldn't really need a store.

I am almost 100% positive that downloading torrents regularly would get your mobile internet shut off lol.
But the concept of running desktop software on a mobile device is awesome
