Exclamation Win XP Top Notch Security

Win XP Top Notch Security Tips By BlaZe

I'm writing this article, after going through many online tips & tricks for security of Windows XP and also the optimization of XP.

    Security Applications needed :

    Explaination :
Avast Antivirus - It is the best known antivirus available. It uses less resources than the other antiviruses. Once, it is activated, it will detect each & every minute malware/spyware/adware/virus trying to access your computer or is already present in your computer.
So, I recommend to use Avast Antivirus 4.8 and I have personally tried it myself.

Registry Purify - Registry Purify analyze and clean invalid entries in Windows registry, backup and restore entire registry in system file level, compact registry to gain efficiency.

Trojan Remover - Trojan Remover aids in the removal of Malware - Trojan Horses, Worms, Adware, Spyware - when standard anti-virus software either fails to detect them or fails to effectively eliminate them. Standard antivirus programs are good at detecting this Malware, but not always so good at effectively removing it.

USB Disk Security - USB Disk Security provides 100% protection against any threats via USB drive, however, the majority of other products are unable even to guarantee 90% protection. USB Disk Security is the best antivirus software to permanently protect offline computer without the need for signature updates, but other antivirus software should update signature database regularly, and they cannot effectively protect offline computer. This light and easy to use solution is 100% compatible with all software and doesn't slow down your computer at all.

    XP Tweaking/Optimization :

Please read all the articles over here & here

If you go through each suggested steps, then you will have a well secured & optimized Windows XP.

Also, please read articles about XP tweaking time-to-time for better output.

Note : Please buy the licenses for each software. I do not recommend nor do I'd like to promote crack/keygen/serial associated versions.

Glad that you liked the article.
Actually, my desktop got infected by a 'Data Streamer' virus. I guess it was a Trojan and it got into my PC due to inserting my friend's pen drive, That's why USB Disk Security is a must.
I also optimized Windows XP for faster response time & to lower the CPU Usage (btw, I have 3 Cores @ 2.51GHz)
Still, I'd like to free much of the resources
I disabled 'Indexing' service, disabled many unwanted services and many startup programs, disabled IIS for XP as it wasn't need

I'll try more to optimize it I still need to install Photoshop
    =======
Anyways, after performing every single tip for optimization, I'll try to optimize & secure my laptop, which runs on Vista and then after, for Win 7 on my brother's laptop
