Advertising MOD
Hi All,
Just been looking around - and I am getting annoyed with people like HostMyWarez.com continuously bumping their threads (every other hour)
http://www.besthostingforums.com/sho...750#post215750
to be fair - it's everybody on here - not just him - the fact he is extremely rude made me point him out from the rest.
But - If we could get an Advertising MOD in - just dedicated to the advertising area then we can ensure people like HostMyWarez don't bump/spam the same thing and/or pointless information in their thread every other hour.
What do you think?

i think this was mentioned before like hawk said a mod to prevent double posts would be better because alot of people are bumping threads that are a few hours old
Signature too big, removed by staff.

Sounds like a good plan to me -
But a dedicated MOD would also be good to ensure people are sticking to the rules.
There was one post I came across which was
YAY I hit 100posts
congrats on the 100 posts

99% of the hosts don't stick to the rules, they just troll the forums, say others are crap/slow, then once one is down they come in saying " Can try us " etc.

wrzc.orgI think this is only a problem in the hosting area and to a lesser extent in the buy/sell area. I wouldn't like the see a double post ban globally on the forum just in the problem areas where it's abused.
Also Nick in that thread their are 9 bumps in a row from reply number 78 which is ridiculous. That has got to deserve an infraction in my opinion. I'd be interested to hear staff opinions on what is acceptable bumping and what members can report as bumping.Tutorial How to SEO your Warez Site a guide to help you increase your organic traffic

I reported a triple post and the mod only posted in the thread .. they didn't even merge the posts lol. I re-reported it, stating that you need to merge it lol. If someone reports a post that is a double/triple post, it's obvious that you need to merge them

extremecoderz.comWell, the general rule as far as i am aware is that your not supposed to bump a topic unless it has left the first page. We all know thats not what goes on in reality in any of the areas, but i would say after a couple bumps, fair is fair, no more. wait for a reply or do something about the fact that your thread isnt very active.
can i just suggest, if this thread is going to solve anything, i and the rest of the team would be more interested in the "what about this..." opinions rather than the "why didnt you" opinions in the proceeding posts of this thread.

Well, I had to report a post twice, just so that "staff" could merge the "triple" posts. I didn't know that I had to report the post twice to get a member of staff to merge triple posts.
