Running my own Dedi?

I want to know your guys opinions on whether I should run my own dedicated server or not?

I live in the U.S. I have 10mb/s download, and 1mb/s upload on my connection. I get 1TB of monthly bandwidth with my ISP. I have a old computer I could use with the following specs:

40gb hdd
512mb ram
1.6 ghz processor
Ubuntu OS

I'm not worried as far as the legality of warez on this, as I don't care, but how about the reliability as far as the specs and my internet connection?

Also, would I be safe going with apache?

And should I also resell some hosting on this?
(if so, what should i upgrade on the specs?)

It will be a pain in the ass ... Lows specs + bad internet connection ...

Dont even think of reselling !
