    Is this your "router" details? IE, the speed your router says you have?
    I'm on a 20mb package, however according to my router I'm getting a 5.5mb down, 756 up.

    I'm actually receiving 600kb/s download speed, and I've not uploaded for a while so couldn't give an accurate answer. My ISP gets cut off on Monday anyhow so I'll be using my neighbours for a week or 2 (BT4 FTW) whilst I have a new line installed

    Here are the speeds for my wireless connection (Photon +) (10 GB for Rs 1100)

    The average download speed is around 768 Kbps to 1 Mbps. Sometimes reaches upto 2 Mbps. They claim maximum is 3.1 Mbps, but reached 3.1 Mbps only for around 0.01% time.

    Uploading is even poor.

    The ISPs make too much profit here.

    Although I must admit the ping times are great for Tata Photon + (considering wireless)

    If you look at the new Airtel Plans, they have 2 Mbps unlimited (upto 100GB, 1 Mbps afterwords) at Rs 1999. That is the cheapest I can find. Do you know any other?

    Link failure occurs how many times in a day with Alliance?

    Which plan do you have from Alliance? (for the speedtest)

    Do you get the promised speed with Alliance?

    Also how is latency to other countries? Can you post a test for them?

    ====

    To others, how many of you having a download speed of less than or equal to 2 Mbps are from India?

    To others, how many of you having a download speed of less than or equal to 512 Kbps are from India? (hope 99% lol)
    Alliance is the worst service they provide...

    If ur from Kol then go for meghbela they give upto 4 mbps under cheap plans or if ur from Chen then go for railwire they proide 32 mbps connection which are cheap enough...
