IP.Board 3.1.0

Well I was just looking at the IPS blog and I noticed they are working on IPB 3.1.0.
I haven't followed IPB in the recent months so I was under the impression that they were working on 3.0.6 instead.

I have to say that I'm quite impressed with some of the news and screenshots.
Seems like they are putting a heck of a lot of effort into this release:

I've always liked the new IPB stuff, but some of it is just a waiste in my opinion, it's turning into a social forum.

Hopefully half of the stuff can be disabled though.

wow it's very impressive. I don't use Facebook but the updates page screenshot above reminds me of it.
I've always considered IPB the front runner in terms of forums. VB4 was a big let down and just shows how good IPB is.

I'm sure most stuff can be configured. The social stuff is great IMO, if you have a site with an active community these futures can really give it a boost.

No their isn't. I think Dale-Riddell is using IPB 3 not 3.1

Their's no eta on a Public Beta yet or release yet. The official reply is " When It's Ready? "

Yes that video is a month or 2 old. Hence why I said I haven't followed IPB in recent months. All of this is new for me since I wasn't aware of 3.1.0. And I guess I'm not the only one.

If they are using FaceBook it ain't gonna look like MySpace.
The idea is better integration so yes...
