Not getting remote php content

Am trying to get the content of a file which contain some images by using this code. But this is not working.

<?php echo(file_get_contents("http://another_site/content.php")) ?>

I know the code is good as I have tested it on my localhost and worked perfectly but when trying to put it on my website, it not working

Any ideas on this issue??

allow_url_fopen 

is turned off imo.I think most of the hosts turn it off, as a security measure..
