I would rather not see the twitter thing on the side of the page. The images at the top look nice, if you know a graphics person get him to make you some cheap custom ones. I'm sure those would look a whole lot better.

I would suggest removing the tweets thing on the side and integrating it in another way. About the two button I would say they are placed in the right place as they are getting enough attention and the links on their side are not especially important. But I would put them on the middle or like said earlier get custom buttons. as the space above and underneath them is not equal.
