My dog got parvo and was extremely sick for 3 days. He drank water the first two days but through it up. On the 3rd day we noticed blood in his stool.
We took him in and parvo was confirmed. How he got it i dont know. He had got all of his shots. So i took him to the humane society where he was put to sleep in front of me. I would say besides my daughters death it was one of the worst things i had to experience .

I'm sorry to hear about your dog.

My dog Banjo, a 16 year old Shih Tzu who weighed 24lbs (he was huge, we didn't overfeed him, I promise), died mysteriously during that month last over 3 years ago in the U.S. when pet foods across the country were being recalled because of tampering of nutrients in China. I felt there was no justice. It is truly a sad thing that animals and people we love should die, and have to die.

Anyone, or any animal, that dies truly experiences the greater loss, and those left behind feel heartbreak, too. However, it is very good that we can say we shared a life with them, and they a life with us.

May your good dog live on in the stories you tell about him with your family and friends.
