Google PR, what's the fuss?

I can't for the life of me figure why people are so damn obsessed with Google PR. It doesn't affect your SERP's, nor does it affect the traffic you receive from Google (through past experience on WarezScene, I received more whilst I was PR3, than PR4).

So I'm interested, why do you care about PR?

Rank, people like ranks. An example is on KWWH, tons of people beg for "Respected Webmaster" but it doesn't really do anything...

Because if their pr is higher it somehow makes their site better

Yea, as Loget said, people beg for the Trusted Rank, but still they scam whilst they are in the Trusted group, so basically it does not makes any sense.

People like sites with a better PR. For example, a site with a higher PR gets more LE spots than a PR0 site

ya i agree with RK.. any site tht has a higher PR .. chances are they wont LE with any lower or PR n/a or PR0 sites.. wanna LE with a PR2 site Ultima? lol j/k

The big fuss is that from a PR5 you get $50 a link and PR1 you get $10 a link, nothing more, nothing less
