URL Seoing and file blocking

OK... so I haven't yet done any URL SEOing on my forum.
The main reason is that I feel that if I SEO the links, it'll make it much easier for snitch bots to find the threads and report them... making the links die much faster.
Am I overreacting or is there any logic to this?
