maxneeds.infoI am having really bad luck...
Hi guys !
My pc power supply is damaged...I changed the fan 1 month ago ,but it continues to turn off the pc suddenly.
Then i started playing the PS1 console and after few hours it couldn't read my pirate disks. I opened the PS1 and there are no sings of damage in the chip or solder connections.
Maybe i can make few picz on the PC power supply and PS1 to help me fixing it ?

wrzc.orgWhat do you mean power supply? If you've replaced the fan it sounds like it's over heating and crashing/turning off.

Buy a new power supply? You can get a 500W one on ebay for about $22
As for the PS2 idk about that maybe an update messed up the modding?

Hello,
First make sure is it the Power Supply or the fan that is attached to your processor, in most cases it is usually the fan and not the power supply.
If you see that your power supply fan is rotating properly, then i suggest you open the casing and then start your machine, and just notice how fast the speed of the fan is the one located ontop of your processor, that must be the issue, just change that.
If not then make sure that all tha cables of your hard disks and other cables located inside the CPU are firm and not touching the fan inside, might be that sometimes it is blocking the fan from rotating and sometimes it doesnt, that way you might experience some time difference in shutting down.
Secondly, one the machine goes off, and when you start it again, does it go off after another 10 seconds or so, if yet try and see if the processor is getting hot, and if that is a YES then change ur fan or add some more heat sync liquid that you can get from any fan vendor to your bottom of the fan and it will work perfectly.
If you need any more help do let me know.
Thanks & Regards

reddit.comNice reply, Sponge Bob.
Your best bet is the CPU fan.. It may be dusty and the cold can't get to your CPU.
If it is, clean it with an air spray. If it isn't, i would go and buy that glue that goes between CPU fan and CPU and put it under the fan, as it may have lost is functionality over the time.. Or you could just go and buy a new CPU fan.. they are cheap.. And even cheaper than a porer supply..I design free logos. click here.
