nooky.usIt can be done. Hosts like openvservers do allow warez files if you create a file host and then host these files on your host.
Allow copyright holders to report abuse and delete files on their request.

proarthost.com pro-ducers.com dennisdee.netRegarding to all of posts here about illegal mp3 files:
http://www.prsformusic.com/users/bro...ages/LOML.aspx
On this website you basicly pay license for running mp3 shoutcast on internet (only casting.
Since I am on the way to start offering shoutcast with autoDJ also I included this link on my website. Now it depends from country to country, how much it cost for one year. In UK, you pay ?107 + VAT for streams up to 45000.
This license is also usefull if you want to put mp3 files for AutoDJ on some of VPS servers. As I understand from all of that, you can put files on server and any company can not give you any complains regarding to that, even DMCA.
Here are some of links, read more about that:

proarthost.com pro-ducers.com dennisdee.netPlease read on one of these page, or contact copyright company in your country. As I said, prices are different in each of countries. For example prices in germany: from 500€ and more lol. On fast research on all of these websites I noticed that UK have lowest fees for a year (?107 + VAT). Also if you plan to not shoutcast full year you can pay even lower fees. Regarding to DMCA complains, you will need to shoutcast only and not to provide mp3 files on downloads
. And why should DMCA put any complains on you, if you have license to provide shoutcast in public? You can put a copy of that license also on your website later, so everyone could check it with company where you are paying fees
, this is not something you should hide
.
Will your radio provide any adverts? By that many of above countries ask you. So if you do provide adverts, you will need to pay more, because you get money from advertisments.

well, its not radio therefore its not music in any form or shape, it will be audiobooks and it will be streaming through windows media player in a way works like shoutcast, just a different software. But it wont be providing the actual MP3 for them safe keeping if you like,...

Right, after all the research and numerous emails sent to publisher, the result were a bit dissapointing due to the fact that:
1. Big company like Amazon (Audible) monopolised all rights to stream from numerous big publishers (damn them).
2. The remaining publisher cant be bothered to license unless it is involving an astronomical sum or monies.
3. PRS and the likes are for musics only. So to those who want to stream mp3 musics, use them.
So, i was back to drawing board and decided to go back to where i started. Chris2009 helped a lot in seting up my hosting acct in his server. To outline:
1. His hosting is well CHEAP comparing to other
2. Value for money both disk space and bandwidth
3. Second to none Customer Service
4. Easy to talk to
So, if anyone looking for a place to host ask for Chris, he is the man...enough said ppl.
