Hotfile 2Gb Limit Detrimental

I know that most people like this feature, but I see it as hotfile looking for ways to pay out less.

Before you had to split everything into 400mb parts which meant more links and more chances to earn. Now with the limit bumped up to 2Gb most people don't waste time spitting their files since they no longer need to.

I am sure most of you who use hotfile for money and not as a mirror noticed your earning went down once the limit went up. I know I did.

I don't know why it took so long to dawn on me as to why I had such a drastic drop in downloads. Now I know.

How many of you ignore the new limit and still split your files?

I don't bother with 400 mb files and just do 200 mb because Rapidshare is my primary and I don't wanna go back and re-rar everything.

I am not a premium member on hotfile so I cant even upload a 2gb file, if I could, believe me I would. I want to make the downloaders happy.

And anyway, I think you will earn less now because downloaders will allways look for single links, not your many parts.

Well, it's your choice ... you can still upload in parts.

However, for downloaders (especially free users) it's a useful feature to be able to download as one link. No waiting required between multiple parts. So a user will be more enticed to download, so more downloads.

It's what you prefer ... your earnings or user ease.

The filehost I am using pays a good amount for large files (upto $25). Probably you will get more money when splitting up files, but my files (mostly porn clips or full DVD rips) fit nicely within 1 Gb.
