    If they're using multi posters then block them via .htaccess

    How are they spamming? As in, Continuous posts or some fake posts?

    See increase the posting interval time and block the multi posters also.

    You can also add prefixes so that it blocks SharpLeech
    Or do settings such that selecting topic icons becomes compulsory.
    People are lazy to select those all the time and SharpLeech doesn't support topic icons anyways
