ok, trying 10.04, started to like it but, seems download speed sucks(not a ipv6 thing),using Opera and FF i only get 60/80 kbs max at 4 at a time d/l.Using a windows machine,I get 700/800 with same 4 links, same line.Any body know a work around/fix for this?

turn off the pc unplug it for at least 1 minute replug it in and check it then.

Im using a e100 driver, on a wired connection, speed says 100mb/s , but, not even close .has to be a setting, a xp pro comp on same line does ok,downloading, this was xp comp at its best , and now, on Unbuntu ,

I had an issue on 10.04 where the DNS lookup was being very slow. It was taking like 30 seconds per domain before anything would start loading. Fixed that by switching to openDNS instead of the default router gateway. But I'm not sure if that was affecting my download speed. All I know is that everything is working fine now. Did you check for updates?
