its only showed when you are logged in. if you want to remove it you have to edit the template or vb files.

1. you haven't stated what board you are using (i dont want to play guessing games)
2. whats the point like localhost said only the admins can see it not everyone

Admincp > Search templates > type "admincp" in the first box edit the template > find the word > remove the line.

It can be really useful to remove it. If you have renamed your admincp folder (which you should do for security) then removing the link makes sence. Also if your account is hacked or keylodged it can make it harder for the hacker to find your admin area. htaccess protect the admin area while your at it too.

Anyway, tell us if it's vBulletin 3 or 4, PHPBB, IPB, MyBB, SMF, Wordpress or some other script. If you had posted in the right support section we wouldn't be asking. Even the mods can't move it now as they've no idea where to move it to.
