I say my experience and my opinions in selecting the Domain name ..
The Domain name is better short,so that You and others can easily memorize it...It should be better in .com extension ,or the extension related to the website,it based on what website you making. for example if you make commercial website means you can use .com extension and if you make mobile website means it better to be .mobi ...If you can't find availability of you choosed name in .com extension means You can go for .net or .org...You can also register in best site which provides best service,To register the Domain name You can reach here XnYnZ register the Domain name at low cost ,there you can get free services like hosting,mail,blog for registering Domain name,i am having account there,they providing best services.
