Spongebob Squarepants vs The Simpsons? Which show is better?

I know what you're thinking, "Those are very different shows!". Let's face it, there are a number of differences: The Simpsons are property of FOX, while Spongebob Squarepants is property of NICKELODEON. The Simpsons is an adult show, while Spongebob Squarepants is a kids' show. One show takes place on land, while the other takes place in the sea. One show started off as an instant success, while the other started off with Network issues! Yet, there are also a number of similarities! For instance, you can see some similarities between Homer Simpson, and Spongebob, Squidward, and Patrick:

Homer/Spongebob: Both Yellow, Both Happy, their favorite food is a burger (Or krabby patty).

Homer/Squidward: Both bald, both annoyed w/ their neighbor(s)!

Homer/Patrick: Both bald, fat dim-wits, who eat ALOT!

Both shows are populated by several characters that have eyes that look like boobs! Their main restaurants have the word, KRUSTY, in them: The Krusty Krab & The Krusty Burger! They both have very fictional towns! They are both the highest rated shows in the history of their channels, they both are now both long running series, they are both adver tised by Burger King in the USA, they both have imitators, that are actually pretty good shows, I'll have to admit!

Spongebob Squarepants = Camp Lazlo, Chowder, Flapjack, etc.

The Simpsons: Family Guy, South Park, etc.

They were both better in their early years, and they are both Cultural Phenomenons!

So which show is better: The dysfunctional, mid-American Family, or the Plucky, Happy-Go-Lucky Sea Sponge we've all come to know and love?

ps I know you'll say " they have both gotten old now!", don't think about the new episodes, think about the old episodes, or your favorite classic episodes! PEACE OUT!
