Well I did warn you oz, something was fishy and it turns out Mr ArtiFax MAYBE a scam. Well he 'might' be selling the database in various places, it's a good thing you found those.

P.S A designer he referred me to MAYBE A SCAM he took 200$ from me without giving me any gfx files.

Anyways I will use PayPal disputes, call them and do what I can if he doesnt reply. As far as that goes, There's another person who im reporting to paypal too but can't mention here. Sorry for being off topic

Hostfresh is actually very flexible when it comes to payments,he didn't pay for 6 months,it's normal that you have to clear that debt.
I didn't pay for less than a month and my servers got suspended so he is lucky that his server was online for 6 months without paying the bill.

But asking $500 a month for such server while claiming that the price is so high because they "deal with DMCA notices" is ridiculous.

EDIT: Just to compare... I currently collocate one server for $200 a month. Nobody ever bothered with DMCA notices and I use around 10 mbps most of the day. Only the line itself would cost me $800 in Hostfresh!

You are correct, Hostfresh is an idiotic choice. If you read my chatlog trying to resolve the debt with him it is almost laughable (at least to me) that Artifax would sign up with them in the first place. Hostfresh were telling me "ignore the prices on the website they are out of date" and quoting me 2 and a half times as much for the exact same server (in comparison to their listed prices) as they needed to spend time dealing with the DMCA notifications...

As I said laughable and you are absolutely spot on. In addition, it is not necessary to host warez sites outside of the US, I have a list of regular hosts (big names not fly by the night resellers) who will gladly do it and forward DMCA notifications. Of course, if you do host it in the US you may get 6 planes full of FBI agents after you... But than again that happened to Richard anyway right? lol

I guess that is why Artifax didn't want to use Paypal. I won't say any names, but someone high up on this forum (and he can own up if he wants to) and a respected member of this scene attempted to the buy the site off him before and Artifax was refusing to use any service that may risk a chargeback and he didn't want escrow. I kind of understand this, and being that I had no intent of ripping him I was happy to comply. Sadly it seems I would of been well justified in charging back by now at least on the second half of the money.

Thanks man. I really didn't want to waste so much time on this, but I've had no choice and I'm glad some of you stuck with me and read through it. It took me a little effort to take all the screenshots, etc but Artifax really pissed me off when he claimed I still owed him $800 and that the agreed upon price was $2400. The smug little scammer. I will not let him off the hook. Whatever bullshit he attempts to post I will quickly debunk it. I've no doubt even with the next rubbish he posts, if he bothers, he will contradict himself (he thinks he is more clever than he is) and only further prove what a deceptive, scamming prick he has been to deal with.
